WHAT’S HAPPENING?
The Blackbushe Air Day is an annual event celebrating all things aviation. There will be fun and games for all the family, with a static aircraft display, food, drinks, live entertainment, a history hub and trade stalls.
There will be limited availability to participate in some flying action also, with experience flights on Scillonia Airway’s Dragon Rapide and Adventure 001’s Jet Ranger Helicopter.
In 2023 we had over 84 aircraft attend and over 120 classic cars, including historical aircraft from Blackbushe’s past.
STATIC AIRCRAFT DISPLAY
The Blackbushe Air Day is not a flying display, we aim to invite a wide variety of aircraft types and sizes for static display to attendees of the Air Day. With many of the types being vintage, they are often subject to strict weather and maintenance requirements.
AEROBILITY LIVE!
NEW FOR 2024! Aerobility will be bringing their experience in running the “Armchair Airshow”, to a new attraction - Aerobility Live! We will have a big screen showing some fantastic air displays, with real pilots on stage commentating on the fantastic feats, providing an insight into the skills required.
CLASSIC VEHICLE DISPLAY
Last year we had over 120 classic vehicles attend, with vehicles from many eras, including some that were over 100 years old! We also had a Sherman Tank!

We will have two operators offering pleasure flights during the Blackbushe Air Day:

Please Note: Helicopter type is non-military. No refunds in the event of cancellations outside of our control, however Flight Vouchers will remain valid for a full 12 months and may be used at any of our 400 alternative free-entry events. You must have purchased entry tickets to the Blackbushe Air Day.
SCILLONIA AIRWAYS
Scillonia Airways will be bringing their Dragon Rapide G-AHAG and offered short pleasure flights on the day. Tickets are only available on the day.

MILITARY FLY PAST
We are pleased to confirm the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will be making a flypast with a Spitfire AND a Hurricane this year!
Make sure you’re at Blackbushe to hear the roar of the merlin engines yourself!
EATING
The Pathfinder Café will be offering a smaller menu than normal, with Sausage & Bacon Baps, as well as a Barbecue.
We will have a selection of food vans and stalls - check our exhibitors page where we will list them as they’re added.
FAMILY EXCITEMENT
Fun and games, for all ages were situated around the Air Day site. Features include bouncy castles and slides, miniature “ride on” model planes, static displays, live entertainment, history hub and food stalls.
